Ways to Donate

  • May 7
  • Midnight to midnight on the giving day by credit card or bank transfer
  • Minimum donation = $5
• By ACH: Make a donation directly from your bank account using Plaid with a donation minimum of $100. Learn more by viewing this article.
• By Mobile Wallet: Donate using Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Microsoft Pay if they are enabled on your device.
• Check by Mail:
• April 23 - May 7
• Complete the mail-in donation form indicating the organization(s) and donation amount(s)
• Write a single check for the total amount payable to “DCCF”
• Mail check and form to DeKalb County Community Foundation, 475 DeKalb Avenue, Sycamore, IL 60178 - you may also use our secure exterior mailbox to the right of our main entrance
• IRA by Mail:
• Initiate distribution with your IRA custodian directed to the DeKalb County Community Foundation
• Complete the mail-in donation form indicating the organization(s) and donation amount(s)
• Mail form to DeKalb County Community Foundation, 475 DeKalb Avenue, Sycamore, IL 60178
• The distribution from your IRA should match the total amount you indicate on your mail-in form - please start this process as early as possible to avoid delays
• DAF by Mail:
• Make a distribution from your Donor Advised Fund directed to the DeKalb County Community Foundation
• Follow the IRA by Mail process
• Note: Donor Advised Funds held at the DeKalb County Community Foundation will be contacted and follow a different process
• Donation Drop Off Event:
  • May 7
  • 8am - 1pm
  • Bring donation form and donation to the DeKalb County Community Foundation (475 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL 60178)
  • Drop off donation, watch the leaderboard on the big screen, and enjoy light refreshments
  • Note: Although the Donation Drop Off Event concludes at 1pm, you can still bring donations to the Foundation until 5pm or use our exterior mailbox after hours

Yes. Bring your mail-in donation form and check to the DeKalb County Community Foundation between April 23 and May 7. There is a secure exterior mailbox to the right of our main entrance and our office hours are 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday.

On May 7, donors can visit the Community Foundation (475 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL 60178) to drop off their donation form, enjoy light refreshments, and see the giving day results displayed in the Freight Room (Donation Drop Off Event: 8am-1pm).

Yes. You can download and print a mail-in donation form. Complete the form indicating the organization(s), and donation amount(s), then write a single check for the total amount payable to “DCCF.” Your check and donation form can be mailed to the DeKalb County Community Foundation, 475 DeKalb Avenue, Sycamore, IL 60178.

Donations will not appear on the website until the giving day on May 7. Depending on the number of donations, there is no guarantee that donations postmarked after May 1 will be visible on the website by May 7. As mailed donations continue to arrive after the giving day, they will be added to the website and the leaderboard and organizational totals will continue to increase.

Mail-in donations must be postmarked April 23 - May 7 to be included in Give DeKalb County.
