NAMI Kane-south, DeKalb, and Kendall Counties
Our Story
Did you know that 1 in 5 U.S. adults experiences a mental illness each year? And nearly 50% of people will face a mental health condition at some point in their lives. Yet, due to stigma and lack of resources, many struggle to find the support they need.
That’s why NAMI KDK is here—to ensure no one in Kane-South, DeKalb, or Kendall counties faces mental illness alone. We provide free support groups, education, and advocacy for adults, teens, veterans, and families. We also give presentations in schools, churches, and community centers to fight stigma and start real conversations about mental health.
With suicide as the second leading cause of death for ages 10-34, our work is critical. But we can’t do it alone! You can help by inviting us to speak, volunteering, or donating to NAMI KDK.
Let’s work together to make sure no one has to navigate mental illness alone.
